General Notes
The ostracon is dated to the Ptolemaic or later periods by TAD, presumably based on paleography. According to Sachau, the object was acquired by Schmidt in Edfu, but the precise findspot is unknown. It is unclear to me if this is an ostracon or a vessel label. The content--a land registry--suggests that this may be an ostracon, but it is curiously large and written only on the concaved side. It may be an collection vessel for millet collected from the lands, and thus a tax account (Moore).
