On the 23rd of Phamenoth, year 5 of King Amyrtaêus, then
Menaḥem son of [Šall]ûm, an Aramean of Elephantine the fortress of the detachment of Nabûkudurri, said
to Sallûˀ[ah] daughter of Sammûaḥ, saying: You have (a claim) on me (for) silver, 2 sh(ekels),
that is [silve]r, 1 stater, from part of the silver and the goods which (are written) on (5) your (4) document of
wifehood. I, Menaḥem, shall give it and pay you by
the 30th of Pharmuthi, year [1+]4 (=5) of King Amy[r]taêus. If I do not
[pay] and give you this silver, 2 [she]kels, [that is 1] stater,
[by] this [day] whi[ch] is written above [and] it comes to [the 1st of Pa]ḥons,
your silver [shall accrue interest from me, becoming], silver, [3] shek[els], that is silve[r], 1 [stat]er, [1 sh(ekel),
and I shall pay you], y[ou] Sallûˀah, [or] your [children] or your g[uaran]tors.
[And you Sallûˀah have right] to any security w[hich is] foun[d—]bri[ck house,
slave or handmaiden], bron[ze] or ir[o]n [utensil(s)], barley [or] e[mm]er—[r]i[gh]t to [seize (it)
until you have full (payment) of] your [silver, silver], 3 shekels [...] ... [...].
