On the 28th of the month of Phaophi, year 3 of King Xerxes, [Hôšeˁa]
son of Hôdawyah and ˀAḥîˀab son of Gemaryah (1) [said] (2) to Espemet [... of
Ta]ḥpanes the region, saying: You gave into our hand bar[ley, x ardabs, 1 (OR: 2) g(riv)],
5 h(andfuls) and lentils, 11 ardabs to ba[rle]y [x] ardabs. [All (the) lentils (are) 20(+?) ardabs.]
All (the) barley and lentils, mixed: 54[+?] ardabs, [1 (OR: 2) g(riv) 5 h(andfuls) ...
[...] of the century of Bêtˁeltakum, 11 ... [... All (the)]
persons: 2. For each person, barley, 2 ardabs, 2 g(riv), [x] h(andfuls) ...
[of] the century of Nabûšaliw, 2 persons to barley, [x] ardabs. [You gave (them) into our hand]
and our heart was satisfied herein. We shall bring [this] grain [to Syene to the chief of]
this [detach]ment/[garri]son of the century of Bêtˁeltakum and of the ce[ntury of Nabûšaliw which]
are written in this document. We shall give ... [... and we shall distribute for you by amount]
(at) the (store-)house of the king and before the scribes of the treasury thi[s grain which you gave]
into our hand to bring to these persons who are written [above. And if we do not distribute]
for you by amount at the (store-)house of the king and before the scribes of the t[reasury this grain],
we shall be liable to you (for) silver, 100 karsh, silver zu[z to the ten, by the stone(-weight)s of Ptaḥ]
the god. And you have right to our allotment from the (store-)house of the king [and (to) a brick house which you will find]
(belonging) to us, you have right to seize (them) until you have full (payment) for [this] grain [which is written above].
Hôšeˁa wrote upon the instruction of ˀAḥîˀab.
