On the 25th of Tishri, that is day 25 of the month of Epiph, year 31 of Artaxerxes the king, said ˁAnanyah
son of ˁAzaryah, a lḥn-servitor of Yahô the God in Fort Elephantine, to lady Tamet his wife, saying: I gave
you (f.s.) half of the large room and its chamber of the house which I bought from ˀWbyl daughter of Šatîbara and from Bagazûšta,
Caspians of Fort Elephantine. I, ˁAnanyah, gave it to you (f.s.) in affection. It is yours (f.s.) from this day
until forever and that of your (f.s.) children's, whom you have borne for me, (and come) after you. And indeed the measurements of that house which I,
ˁAnanyah, gave to you (f.s.), Tamet, from half of the large room and its chamber was: from its top to bottom,
according to the measuring rod—11 (6) in cubith-width, from east to west, according to the measuring rod, 7 cubits 1 h(and); in area,
81 cubits. A new lower house is built (and) contain beams and windows. And indeed this is the boundaries(-measure) of that house
which I gave to you (f.s.): to the top of it, the share of mine—I, ˁAnanyah—adjoins it. To the bottom of it
is the Temple of Yahô the God. And King Street is between them. To the East of it is the "Way" of Ḥnûm the god
and King Street is between them; To the West of it the house of Šatîbara, a Caspian, adjoins it. This share of
the house, the measurements of which are written, and its boundaries I, ˁAnanyah, gave it to you in affection. I shall not be able—
I, ˁAnanyah—to file (against) you (f.s.) to wit a lawsuit. Moreover, no son of mine or daughter, brother or sister shall be able
to sue you (f.s.) in the name of that house. And if I sue you (f.s.) (with) a lawsuit in the name of that house, I shall be guilty
and I shall give to you silver, 5 karsh—that is five—according to the stone(-weight)s of the king, a silver(-rate) of 2 q(uarters) to 1 karsh. (There is) no lawsuit.
And if another person shall sue you (f.s.) (with) a lawsuit, he shall give to you (f.s.) silver, 20 karsh, and the house likewise is yours (f.s.). However,
if you have died ([god willing] at 100-years old), my children, whom you bore for me, have right to it after
your (f.s.) death. And moreover, if I, ˁAnanî, should die ([god willing] at 100-years old), Pilṭî and Yahôyišmaˁ—a total of 2—my children
have right to my—I, ˁAnanî('s)—other share. (20) No (19) other person—my mother or my father, brother or sister, or (20) another (19) man—
shall have right to the whole house, (none) but my children, whom you bore me. The person who shall reclaim
my house after my death from Pilṭî and Yahôyišmaˁ must pay to them silver, 10 karsh according the stone(-weight)s of
the king, a silver(-rate) of 2 q(uarters) to 1 karsh. Then my house is theirs likewise. (There is) no lawsuit. Wrote Maˁûzyah son of Natan at the instruction of
ˁAnanyah son of ˁAzaryah the lḥn-servitor. The witnesses herein: (hand 2) Gemaryah son of Maḥseyah,
(hand 3) Hôšayah son of Yatôm, (hand 4) Mitrasarah the Magian, (hand 5) Tataˀ the Magian.
