(as feature on liver); also the verbs ḫaṣāṣu(m) I “to snap off” O/jB G (a/u) neck, reed; transf. of death ḫāṣiṣ amēlūti “snapping off mankind”; stat., of part of body “is broken away” D ~ G + pl. obj.: reeds, mountains, people Dt pass. of D, of reed-stems “be snapped off”; > ḫiṣṣu I; ḫuṣṣuṣu; ḫaṣāṣu II “to erect (reed hut)” NA, NB G (a/u) with ḫuṣṣu; < ḫuṣṣu denom.
