EXTRA NOTES FROM PAPER Osiris מנחה singular (minḥâ >) minḥᵃṯāˀ but the plural minḥāṯāˀ with the variant mi(ḥ)ḥāṯāˀ. footnote content from Lev 22:18 neder associated with whole burnt offerings. Ps 66:13. Check both in Syriac. The connection to burnt offering is made. So to the promise to make a burnt offing by Jephthah judg 11:31.  Hanna appears to have made yearly vows in the temple 1 sam 1:3, was 1 kgs 8:28ff. ( Kaiser 249). Note that the confusion between olah and zebah in the Hebrew is worked out in the Syriac and allows for the approapriate Label of a yaqda to a grain offering.  The relationship between a binding oath and vow in num 30. Although the daug  instances pertain to women, the primary stipulation to maintain them pertains to both genders. These are inherently binding promises of future activity and since vows center on offerings, part of the temple economy, it is in the best interest of all parties involved to keep written record of them, especially the. Ow taker. The notion of breaking a vow was heavy ecc 5:3 prov 20:25.  Add also 23:37-38. Reread Ps 132 There is some debate about order of the offering in relation to the vow. Tdot 9:247 kaiser (pp. 242-255) Include short discussion of the syntax of the forms incountered: –verbless clauses with זי –one might expect ל, but either is possible. זי here conveys the notion on behalf of rather than ל which might have conveyed “belonging to” ---------- cv Lozachmeur 1. חספא זא זי {כ|ר}ח◦[ת...]
