Textual Notes
What HL reads as to intervening lines is a palimpsest written slightly ↙︎ to the overwritten text.
cc 2: The initial mark does not look like a ו. i my a be a ב seeing that there are traces of a stroke moving diagonally below it. But it may also be a scribal mark (√) since it comes before a name.
cv 3: large ט leftover from the original jar label. [old statement: I read as the ligature meaning “bat (measure)” found on many of the (mostly Phoenician) storage jars. Note this is an Egyptian type jar. See HL p. 328 n. 381 for discussion and different possibilities.] The faded stroke that looks like a large ל is perhaps a remnant of the original jar label???
