Textual Notes
The yod is in doubt. I looks more like ע, but in this period we find occassional yod like this. The second element in the name is a D-stem of √חוי "to make live". See Benz, Personal, 308. Note in particular the similar form in פמיחויא (Punic, CIS 5981.1). The ה instead of א in the present name is an older form of the suffix pronoun in Phoenician, a form that more closely resembles Byblian. Cf. Krahmalkov, Phoenician, 69–70; Segert, Phoenician, 97, but may also be influenced by Aramaic -h. Lemaire, "Review," 182 seriously doubts HL's readings. The first letter looks like a good example of a Phoenician א and the last letter could be a phoenician ה. cv Lozachmeur 1. [...ל] שלומ בר ז{ר|כ}י’ 𐡘𐡘 CV Palimpsest Lozachmeur 1. {ב|פ}{ר|י}
